Delivery Information

Firstly all our items priced on our website include delivery to mainland uk.  There may be supplements to outer areas of Scotland, so please ask if you are unsure.

Depending on the item that you are purchasing the delivery may vary. Each product has a different delivery time scale and this will be clearly printed on the individual web page. Delivery times can change slightly due to demand so if you need the item by a specific time then it would be ideal to give us a call and we can be more accurate on the lead time.  

Small Items (Gas & Electric Fires)

These items if they are under 30k then they will delivered via a parcel company, usually UPS or Parcel Force or similar.  We will contact you before we dispatch the item so negotiate a day that is suitable for you to receive the item as it needs signing for.  Unfortunately for Insurance purposes they wont leave the item without a signature.  We often get asked by customers if they can be called before the delivery is going to be made and this is something that the Parcel companies won't do as they carry alot of parcels.  If you are not in when the delivery company arrives they will take the item back to their depot and leave you a note.  You can either re-arrange the delivery or collect it from the depot.  Saturday deliveries are not included in out priced items, but we can get a quote for you if you would like this service. We will only charge you what we are charged.

If you are local to us then if you would like to collect the item from us then this can be arranged too. Most items that fall into the Parcel category should have no problem fitting into a car.

Please check the item as soon as you receive it for any damage.  In some circumstances when properties are being renovated the parcel can be left for some weeks, we are unable to take the item back at this point as the time will have lapsed within which the product can be sent back.  We will no longer be able to claim from our insurance, because of the time past. 

Larger Items (Stoves & Fireplaces)

These items are usually over 30k and have to be delivered by a pallet company. The item will arrive to you packed onto a pallet.  These items are heavy and should not be handled by a single person and care should be taken when trying to handle them. When we are ready to dispatch the item we will contact you to negotiate a suitable delivery day as you have to sign to receive the item. Unfortunately for Insurance purposes they wont leave the item without a signature. In this situation, the delivery companies will if asked give you a call on route to you say and hour or half an hour before they arrive so if you have to pop out or you want a neighbor to sign for the item it gives you time to sort this out.  The items do arrive on quite a large lorry so if you have any access restrictions to the property let us know so we can organize a smaller van to deliver the item. Also consider where you want the item left, The pallet are heavy and have to be moved around on pump trucks. This means that they cannot get up stairs or step and cannot get through very small pathways. The delivery companies for insurance purposes class their delivery as "curb Side" delivery, this means that is they are unable to get it to your door for reasons such as steps or narrow pathway, they will ask for you to sign for it on the curb side.  You will then have to organize to have it moved manually from this point.  This is why it is advisable to consider where it can be dropped off and who will be able to move it from this point.

If you are local to us then if you would like to collect the item from us then this can be arranged too. Please bare in mind that the item is heavy and you will need a larger vehicle to fit the item into, plus there is likely to be quite a bit of packaging making the item larger.  If you would like to collect the item, please organize this with ourselves as there is not alway someone that can help with lifting or have access to the warehouse where it will be stored.
